It looks like fun, we board the train in Dwellingup (about an hour and a half south of Perth) and ride through the forest while we eat our dinner. The train has floodlights so we can have a bit of foresty scenery to look at while we eat our five course meal in a vintage dining car from 1919. Sounds delightful to me!
Seeing as we can't do that next weekend on actual Father's Day we're going to head down to the local park with some nibbles for afternoon tea and feed some ducks, my Dad's favourite park pasttime and how we spent many a Father's Day when we were little.
What have you got planned for the special men in your lives on their big day?

It looks wonderful and the dining car is very Agatha Christie!! I know you will have a lovely late Fathers' Day!! No Fathers here at all, The Labradors' fathers don't keep in touch and my dad has been dead for 25 or so years.
That looks like a lovely way to celebrate Fathers Day and a picnic in the park and feeding the ducks is one of my favourites too :-)
Paul and I talk about doing this all the time, I've never been on the Hotham Valley and having a meal in a cute carriage like the one above sounds so lovely. Be sure to let us know what it's like.
My parents took me on the Hotham Valley when I was about 13 and I had a great time. I'd love to do the dinner thing it would be really whimsical. Great idea :) I'll be heading over to my parents for lunch on Fathers Day so my Dad can still watch the footy!
Ooopps... not much at this time. But will be sure to get the kids onto some special crafting soon :)
