This year I set myself the goal of reading 50 books. I reached 50 today! Here they are in reverse order beginning with most recently read.
I kept track of it all on Goodreads. Do you use it? You can find me here if you do! As you can see, I'm very much a fantasy sort of girl with an occasional divert from that genre in place.
Standouts would be...
A Discovery of Witches / Shadow of Night - Deborah Harkness
Garden Spells - Sarah Addison Allen
The Forgotten Garden - Kate Morton
The Black Jewels series - Anne Bishop
Cleo: how an uppity cat helped heal a family - Helen Brown (but only if you're ready for a tearjerker)
Are you much of a reader? Do you keep track of how many books you have read? This is the first year I have done it.
I'm getting ready to start my book list for 2013 so title suggestions are welcome!

Some good books there! Ive just added you as a friend on Goodreads :)
Well done. I read a fair bit but I don't keep records. I was going to read eof the classic (old school) books I've never read this year but I ended up studying instead.
50! Wow. I've been keeping track for seven(?) years or so now. I started keeping a list in my notebook which is still the way I prefer to view my list, but the last couple of years I've mostly recorded the date I've finished books in Bookpedia on my laptop. I think my best year was 26 books. I mostly read non fiction though. I meant to do a post on the books I read last year but never got around to it, maybe this year (probably not!).
wow great job...i have kept a record for the last year for the first time too....I managed 23 ...well if i finish the one i am reading in the next few days.....
will up the anti for next year now. xx
This is the third year I kept track of my reading-list, in the side-bar of my blog. On the last day of the year I place the list in a message and start a new list in my side-bar. It works for me! :)
I've read 36 this year. I thought I would add a couple during the holidays but one by one we all go down with a flu, high fever, headaches, so not much reading... :(
You have a nice list there!!! I recognise quite some books. It's definately worth to find the other books of Sarah Addison Allen. I really liked those... ♥
I love it when someone recommends a good book! I hate fluffing around trying to find one though! Ha! I will definitely look some of those up!
I'm reading 'The Convent' at the moment, loving it, it's based on true events of a Nuns Convent here in Melbourne, and I actually have a market stall there once a month, so finding it really interesting. xx
Wow! What an achievement :) I need to read more books. I think I only read 10 or 12 this year!!
So many pretty books! My faves of these were The Snow Child, The Forgotten Garden, Garden of Spells, The Secret Garden and Mao's Last Dancer.(Bit of a garden theme there!)
This is the third year I've kept a record of the books I've read. This year I reached 63! :)
