Band wagons

I have spoken before about my belated band wagon jumping so you may remember that I just don't really go for any old trend, just to be trend-y.  Trendy is a ridiculous word anyhow.

So the latest band wagon I've decided to climb aboard is Pinterest.  Mainly because I am sitting here in hospital twiddling my thumbs and refreshing the blogger dashboard waiting for new posts to come up to read.  How sad.  Yes, I could read a book but I'm not in the mood at the moment.  And with the canula in my inner elbow of my right arm there's only so long I can crochet for without it getting sore from bending it too much.

However, when I just tried to jump on the Pinterest bandwagon, they sent me an email telling me I was on the waiting list.  WTF?!  How snobby do they think they are? Is it some prestigious elite private boarding school? No.  How rude.  I feel a bit indignant.  When I want to join and start something I want to do it straight away!

Now I don't know if I want to join it afterall. (But I probably still will if they hurry up and send me an 'invite to join' sometime soon)

Have you ever been in a similar situation?  Are you on Pinterest and if so, did you have to wait and how long?

Edit: got my 'invitation' from pinterest at 1.30am.  Not too long a wait, luckily!

Yes! I think I waited a week? It is funny how you don't sign up you 'request an invite'. I wonder whether it just isn't automatic? Do you want me to give you my login so you can browse at least?

I had to momentarily join Twitter in order to be on The Pinterest. Then I deleted my account. I didn't have The Facebook and when I joined that was the only way. Now I am there, I don;t know what to do. I didn't have to wait at all. Maybe it's a holiday there??

I got my invite pretty quick but it was a long time ago ... and my sense of time with so many children around is probably very different to yours sitting in a hospital bed!!!
I haven't really got into it yet. There are only so many hours in the day... and inspiration isn't something I really need!!!
Interesting though I pinned a picture from your blog and it got heaps (well for me) re-pins and likes. It was a quote that I liked... I can't exactly remember just now but you'll see once you're allowed into the elite club. LOL!

Pinterest is giving me the poops at the moment too!! I don't have a Facebook account so I created a 'Homely One' Facebook account purely so I could join Pinterest. However, every time I click on the email to join (it took a few days to arrive), it comes up with Error404!!!! Frustrating as I'm eager to start pinning. Maybe I'll try what 2paw above did. Why don't you add some favourites into your Etsy favourites instead while you're wanting to pass some time - lots of pretties on there.

Look after yourself, hospital is never fun xx

Beware - pinterest is super addictive!!!!! Sorry to hear you're in hospital. I really have been away from blogland for far too long!

I know that sucks doesn't it. I had to wait about a week too. Its a good way to keep track of all your ideas but it does suck the time. Its just what you need....you can have my login too if you want :-)
