Cuckoo Coveting

I greatly desire a cuckoo clock.  Ever since visiting a lady from work's house and seeing her authentic Holland  cuckoo clock. I.  Want.  In fact, I'm sure in my subconscious I have wanted one for a while.  Sort of along the lines of my desire for a grandfather clock.  However this might take up a bit less room and be Much Cheaper.  And Way Cuter!

I really do want.

my favourite.... *sigh*  from here

Do you wish you had one too?

What is your random/uncommon household furnishing item you either have or wish you had?

I wish I had taken a photo of my Gran's cuckoo while I was there for Christmas. It is just so a part of her house- I can't remember a time she didn't have it. However, whenever I stay over, I have to stop the pendulum because I just can't get to sleep with it tick-tocking away.

Nope. Cocukoo clock looks like major hardwork to dust & keep clean. I'd like one of those oversized wall clocks with the cool typography numerals... either silver or red.

I read this post of yours a while back but never got around to commenting - we have a box of things to donate back from my Dad's place which are still boxed up. I'm positive there was a cuckoo clock in there which he bought and never even put up as it was still packaged. When I get a moment, I'll check if we still have it. It's a plain wooden one, not as cute as the ones above but when I clicked on the link you gave, it looked like the wooden one on there. If you want, you're welcome to have it as it was only going to be given to the Good Sammies. But I understand if you want to wait for a cute one like the ones above...
